For the first round, coaches will be randomly paired. 3/1/0 points will be awarded for a Win/Tie/Loss, respectively. All subsequent rounds will be Swiss-paired. We will be using the Blood Bowl Tournament Manager (http://bbtm.app) for recording match results and viewing rosters. Please bring your smartphone and a charger (if needed). Wifi is available at the store.

All coaches are expected to use the tournament d6s provided throughout the tournament. Other dice (block, d8, d16, etc.) can be from other manufacturers. If there are any concerns about any dice used, either coach can request that dice be shared as per the NAF Ethics Guidelines.

Dice cups, dice towers, and dice trays are encouraged to prevent dice-related miniature mishaps.

We encourage coaches to discuss before the game how they will handle cocked dice or dice that escape cups/towers/trays when rolling.

All teams should be painted to a minimum three-color standard. There may be penalties at the TO’s discretion for unpainted teams or figures.

Skills:

Each coach can assign three skills to players before each match using the following rules:

-       One player can be given either Block or Wrestle

-       One player can be given either Dodge or Tackle

-       One player can be given either Guard or Mighty Blow

-       You also have the option of ignoring those skill choices and taking 3x Dirty Player instead.

-       Skills cannot be assigned to Star Players

-       Skills can be given to players who normally can’t take them (i.e. you can give Dodge to a player with no A access).

-       You cannot assign multiple skills to a single player.

-       The assigned skills will reset after each match, so you can assign different skills to different players.  For example, in your first match, you gave player A Block.  In your second match, you can give player B Wrestle.

-       You will know your opponent before you decide which players get which skills.

-       You cannot know your opponent’s skill choices before you decide.

Competition Awards:
Overall Champion
Best Fouler

Stunty Cup
Most TDs
Most Casualties
Wooden Spoon

Hobby Awards:
Best Painted (as voted by you)
Best Sport

We will be “sharing the wealth” so if the Stunty Cup, Most TDs, or Most Casualties winner has already won another competition award, Stunty/TDs/Cas will be awarded to the next highest-ranking coach.

Special Rules:

There will be a special award for the coach that fouls the most effectively over the course of the day.  During each match, coaches should track the number of Stunned, Knocked Out, and Casualty results from Foul actions.  Whether or not the fouling player is ejected does not matter when it comes to tracking fouling point.

Stunned = 1 foul point.

Knocked Out = 2 foul points

Casualty = 4 foul points.
